While working at McKinsey, Caroline Ghosn and Amanda Pouchot noticed that their friends – other gen Y women – weren’t getting sufficient career support in their first jobs. They started an effort to support young women by sending individual career guidance emails to friends and co-workers. What started with simple emails and eventually a blog, has now evolved into a powerful online community of mentors (including Warren Buffett and Sheryl Sandberg) and resources with 8 million followers.

To further the revolution, they need: (1) additional mentors to provide career advice; and (2) companies that are willing to post positions and hire women who are up-and-comers as part of the site.
