Most law firms enjoy a 50/50 gender split at the entry-level. But only 16% of law firm partners are women. Caren Ulrich Stacy plans to replenish the leaky pipeline with experienced women lawyers who took a break from law and want to return. As the first “Returnship” ever launched in the legal profession, 20 large law firms are offering more than 80 positions in 24 cities across the U.S. And it’s about to go global – law firms in Australia and Ghana are building similar programs.
